An ardent FIFA player since FIFA09 , FIFA19 marks my 10th FIFA game, as I missed out on FIFA10.

FIFA19 marks the first genuine try towards 'World-Class' difficulty level. Relative success and comfort at 'Professional' difficulty and comparatively less playing time in last few years, underlines why I made the switch so late.

I started FIFA19 with Real Madrid , although its a very obvious choice it doesn't present a challenging proposition. I won 3 Champions League in first 3 seasons. So, I chose SS Lazio.

So, here is why you should chose SS Lazio as your next FIFA team.

Società Sportiva Lazio, commonly referred to as Lazio, founded in 1900, has won Italian Championship twice(1974,2000) and won Coppa Italia 7 times. Nicknamed I Biancocelesti(The White and Sky Blues) and Le Aquile(The Eagles) finished 2017-18 and 2016-17 at 5th place in Serie A and won Coppa Italia in 2018-19. In FIFA19 Career Mode Lazia is a 4.5 starred team with a modest budget of €17.5M but a fairly free spending board ensures that you will get higher transfer budgets after qualifying for European competitions.

Serie A always presents a tough challenge (unless you choose to go with Juventus) as it has multiple competetive sides like Napoli , Inter , AC Milan, Roma and Lazio , all rated at 4.5 stars apart from the all conquering Juventus , rated 5 stars. Choosing Lazio presents a significant challenge as the club operates in relatively low budget and has places importance on setting up Youth Academy and developing players therein.

In Sergej Milinković-Savić (rated 85 , pot 90) , Luis Alberto (rated 82, pot 87 ) and Immobile (rated 87), you will inherit a very good team. In defence, the first team Centre-Backs are 80+ rated and the backup CBs are young having high potentials(Luiz Filepe - 84 and Wallace- 84).Also you will have a very good GK in T. Strakosha who is rated at 80 and has a potential of 87.

However as the default formation is 3-5-1-1 , they lack good fullbacks (ie. if you prefer 4-man defence). Also the midfield is quite old with Lucas Leiva, Marco Parolo and M. Badelj as starters and thus the team lacks dynamism. The starting wingbacks are average and doesnt offer much potential.

I started with the default formation , but shifted to 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 to accommodate the dynamism of Milinković-Savić and Luis Alberto , and ended my first season on 4th Position and won Serie A in the second season.
